Russian quins born prematurely at the John Radcliffe Hospital earlier this month are said to be doing well.
The 29-year-old mother, who has not been named, asked city hospital gynaecologists for help after being advised to have selective terminations by doctors in her own country.
Three of the girls are in special care at the John Radcliffe and two have been taken to a similar unit at Queen Charlotte's Hospital, London.
