CLANFIELD, which was hit badly by the summer floods, is celebrating the return of its pre-school.
Children returned to their sessions at the Methodist Church Hall following extensive drying and refurbishment.
It is almost four months to the day that the hall, along with many homes in the village, was flooded when drains were unable to cope.
Preschool manager Jane Brown said: "It was heartbreaking at the time. The whole place, like so many properties in the village, was flooded out.
"It's taken a long time to get it ready, but hopefully we are now back to normal."
The preschool provides for 24 children, aged from two to four, five days a week.
