FIREFIGHTERS dashed to the M40 yesterday evening to put out a car fire.
Crews from Bicester and Kidlington fire stations dealt with a car in flames on the motorway just after 7.30pm between junctions 9 and 10.

The driver was initially unaware of the smoke coming from his vehicle but pulled over and moved away from the car before the smoke and flames had fully developed.
Firefighters used breathing apparatus to extinguish the blaze and worked with Highways England and Thames Valley Police.
They left the scene at 8.38pm and there were no reports of injuries.
