A MAN who launched an explosive rage with two baseball bats during a row with his ex-partner has been handed a community penalty.
During the shocking eruption of property violence one of the bats was wielded with such force it split in half.
Adam Sage had already admitted one count of causing criminal damage.
The 30-year-old of Sandy Lane, Oxford, was sentenced at Oxford Crown Court yesterday.

Prosecutors said the outburst took place at an Oxford address on May 26 last year.
Sage and his victim had been in a relationship until they split up in December 2018, but continued to see each other.
It was said at an earlier hearing that Sage was trying to check her mobile phone to find out if she had started another relationship.
A row ensued and he went upstairs and retrieved two baseball bats.
He then came back downstairs and proceeded to 'smash up' a number of items in the house, including a TV, a TV stand, and a mirror, shards of which landed in a baby car seat.
Prosecutors said one bat was wielded with such force it broke and split in half.
In mitigation defence barrister Claire Fraser said that her client had shown 'genuine remorse' for his actions.
Sentencing, Judge Maria Lamb said: "This was a thoroughly unpleasant incident.
"Whatever passed between you and this lady, the mother of your child, there was no cause to behave in the way that you did.
"This was an example of complete loss of self control on your part."
Sage was made subject to a community order for 12 months and must carry out 60 hours of unpaid work.
He was also ordered to pay £700 compensation to his victim and court costs of £100 as well as a statutory victim surcharge.
