Sir - Mr Augarde may not share the sentiments of Wilfred Owen's poem Dulce et decorum est pro patria mori - It is sweet and right to die for your country (Weekend, November 16) but he should be mindful that, were it not for those who did die for their country, he may not have had the freedom to make his sarcastic and negative remarks about the much-respected tradition of the November Remembrance ceremonies.
