The 30-year-old appeared in the dock of Oxford Magistrates Court on February 26, three months after he was breathalysed on Elim Road in Wales.
His driving licence was endorsed with 10 penalty points but he was not given a 'totting disqualification' – 12 points resulting in an automatic ban – because he had lost his job and his family 'are not local to him'.
He was also fined £300 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge fee of £32 as well as £85 in court costs.
