Cricket legend Sir Ian Botham was in Oxford tonight to sign copies of his new autobiography.
The former England Test cricketer, captain and commentator, right, met fans at Borders bookshop in Magdalen Street when he signed copies of his book Head On.
Scores of fans queued for up to 90 minutes to see the sporting icon.
Tom Peterson, PE teacher at Peers School in Littlemore, said: "He's one of Britain's all time sporting heroes and obviously as a PE teacher, I wanted to meet him and say hello.
"I did offer him the chance to come and do some coaching but he declined.
"He was very friendly and very nice."
Nik Norris, from Witney, said: "You very rarely get an opportunity to meet a sporting legend like Sir Ian Botham. It's a pleasure."
