Father Christmas is going green by abandoning his sleigh and catching the bus into Oxford.
That's the claim from Oxford Bus Company, which has the lowest emissions in the country.
Santa was helped on his way to Debenham's grotto by three characters from the Oxford Playhouse's production of Aladdin. Pictured, from left, are Simon Green, Michael Steedon and Charlotte Warren with Santa - Michael Dacre.
Louisa Weeks, the bus company's general manager, said: "Father Christmas hasn't yet managed to modify his reindeer and he is concerned about their levels of particulate emissions. And so he's asked us if he could use the Park and Ride service at Water Eaton to get into the city centre."
