A MAN suffered serious facial injuries after being assaulted in Banbury.
The 22-year-old was walking down Orchard Way when he was hit in the face with a glass causing lacerations to his face and eye socket. He is still being treated at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford.
The attack happened at 12.30am on Sunday but police only released details this evening.
Det Con Natalie Cleaver, of Banbury CID, said: "We believe this assault may have occurred following an argument outside the Admiral Holland pub.
"If anyone saw this vicious attack or anything suspicious leading up to it on Saturday night - Sunday morning, them I would be very keen to speak to them."
A 30-year-old man was arrested the same day and has been released on police bail.
