WHILE the centre of Oxford was quiet today, people flocked to Port Meadow to soak up the sunshine.ย
The government has eased lockdown restrictions to allow for unlimited exercise and time outdoors.
But the guidelines state that you:
- Shouldn't play sports with anyone outside your household
- you should keep 2 metres away from people outside of your household
- you should only interact with one person who does not live in your household at a time
Joe Cook took these photos of Port Meadow and said there were some groups of '15+'.
The centre of Oxford might be dead but seems elsewhere people have given up on lockdown.

Similar scenes have been seen across the country, with beaches such as Brighton and Bournemouth packed today.ย
The local councils have urged non-residents to stay away.ย
What do you think? Were you at Port Meadow today? Have the guidelines been clear enough?
