POLICE this afternoon appealed for information on a crash on the A34 which left a 22-year-old man critically injured.
At about 12:45am on Saturday, the man, from Oddington, was travelling in a white Rover northbound on the A34 when the car lost control and left the road, colliding with a tree, at the 200 yard marker post for the East Ilsley turn.
PC Allan Rodgerson, of Abingdon Roads Policing, said "This collision has resulted in serious injury to the driver and I would urge anyone who witnessed the collision to contact me."
The injured man's condition remains critical but stable.
Anyone who witnessed the collision or saw this vehicle in the area at this time is asked to PC Rodgerson via the Police Enquiry Centre on 0845 8 505 505.
