A POLICE officer split his trousers in half while chasing down lockdown rulebreakers.

Student PCSO Sully Jawed was jumping over fences in Abingdon this weekend to move at least 25 residents off of locked areas.

He was accompanying PCSO Ali Blood, who said she was too short to manage the difficult manoeuvres, so asked PSCO Jawed to step up.

Sharing this picture on Facebook, Thames Valley Police said: “Please remember if the gates to children’s play parks, football pitches and tennis courts are locked it means you cannot use them.

“Thank you to the majority of you that are following the guidelines still. It makes your lives safer and it makes our lives a little easier.”

Many locals on Facebook applauded Mr Jawed’s sterling work in keeping the community safe.

Elizabeth Burnell said: “That looks like quite a jump.

“Well done, I wish people would understand that playgrounds are out of bounds.”

Rebekah Durnall also commended the work that Thames Valley Police officer have been doing.

She commented: “Keep up the great work guys, and keep up the parkour skills Sully.”
