Several rivers in Oxfordshire are on Flood Watch, with levels expected to rise with predicted heavy rainfall today.
The Environment Agency has issued warnings of flooding of low-lying land and roads on the following rivers:
- River Evenlode, through west Oxfordshire down to Cassington.
- River Windrush, through west Oxfordshire down to confluence with the Thames at Newbridge.
- River Ray, from Shipton Lee to Islip.
- River Thame, from Long Marston to Dorchester, including Bear Brook, Chalgrove Brook and tributaries.
River levels are still rising due to recent rainfall and expected to continue to rise with rain this afternoon and evening, say the Agency.
At 11am today there were seven flood watches in force across the Thames Region.
