A further 186 people, who tested positive for the coronavirus have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 24,345.
Patients were aged between 15 and 99 years old, with 10 of the 186 patients (aged between 30 and 94 years old) having no known underlying health condition.
The NHS England figures, measured as of 5pm on Thursday, record no new deaths of patients at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, meaning the total remains at 166.

The trust runs the John Radcliffe Hospital, Churchill, Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre and Banbury's Horton General Hospital.
There have also been 22 patient coronavirus deaths at Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust, which runs the county's community hospitals.
As the trust also manages services outside Oxfordshire it is not possible to confirm how many deaths were in the county.
