A WEST Oxfordshire florist's virtual flower-arranging classes are proving a hit with students stuck in lockdown.
Lyn Oswin, who owns Enchanted Floristry in Minster Lovell, runs floristry workshops and hen parties in tandem with her wedding bookings.
She said: "It’s been really sad for my brides whose weddings have been postponed because of coronavirus – and I could have been left twiddling my thumbs.

“But playing around with flowers has been a great way to relax during lockdown, and I thought others might like to join in and learn a few floristry skills too.
“You don’t need much – just a few flowers from the garden, greenery gathered on a walk, or a bunch of flowers from a supermarket or garage.”
Mrs Oswin began by posting a video of herself making a wild flower bouquet on her Facebook and Instagram pages.

“I was a bit nervous, but I got great feedback. Then my daughter Hayley suggested that I go one step further and launch digital workshops, which people subscribe to,” she said.
“The first workshop was a little daunting, but after a few tricky moments trying to get my students in through my virtual workshop door, we were away.”
Students came from as far away as Sri Lanka and Singapore.
The next workshop is on Sunday, May 17. Email hello@enchantedfloristry.co.uk for more.
