Oxford cycle pressure group Cyclox hosted a major national conference at Cheney School in Headington on Saturday.
Called Cycling for the Climate, the conference examined the relationship between urban design and cycling with talks by Mark Lynas, the Wolvercote-based environmental journalist, and Dr Alison Hill of Cycling England.
The conference also discussed campaigns for better cycle facilities in the UK. Last month, Cyclox published a 13-page report that stated cyclists lives were at risk in more than a dozen danger areas across Oxford.
The report was published six months after the death of Oxford University student Tsz Fok, 22, killed when his bike collided with a lorry in the city centre.
