A BODY has been found in Woodstock during the search of missing man Ross Shakles.
Mr Shakles, aged 31, was reported missing on Tuesday.
Following a search of the local area, with help from Oxfordshire Lowland Search and Rescue, the body of a man was located in the grounds of Blenheim Palace.
Although a formal identification is yet to take place, the man is believed to be Ross Shakles.
PC Steve Morris, based at Witney Police Station, said: "Sadly, following searches carried out by officers and volunteers, a man's body has been found.
"His next of kin have been informed and are being offered support.
"I would like to thank everyone who shared our appeal. It is with the great sadness that we have to inform you of this tragic outcome."
The death is being treated as unexplained but is not believed to be suspicious.
