AN Indian takeaway that was closed for a month due to the coronavirus pandemic has decided to re-open and help feed front-line workers.
Mohammed Noor, who runs Nadia’s Indian Takeaway in Bicester, says he had received messages from customers urging him to reopen.
He said: “As a small local business, thousands of people have been waiting for us to open again.

“I have been receiving many phone calls and messages from our loyal customers and local supporters to open again which I am willing and risking to do in this terrible pandemic situation.”
He reopened the family-run business on Friday and is offering NHS workers 20 per cent off meals.
Mr Noor added: “I am opening again even after the incident we had having our window smashed which we have now repaired.
“I am also giving 20 per cent off to all NHS staff as they are doing a fantastic job risking their lives for us, so I would like to give them the opportunity to feed them.
“They all deserve to be treated.”
He also says he will be going to Bicester Community Hospital to show his support.
The window in the front door had been smashed but has since been repaired.
Nadia’s Indian Takeaway is open from 5pm to 10.30pm every day except Tuesdays.
All collection orders must be placed over the phone in advance or on the website.
Customers will then be given a time to collect their order and only one person is allowed in the shop at a time if payment is required.
Customers should wait outside when waiting to be assisted and food can also be delivered.
Mr Noor added: “We are happy to be back and we have ensured all safety measures have been taken to keep our staff and customers safe. We look forward to seeing you all.”
Nadia’s serves traditional Indian meals such as curries and rice dishes.

Many small businesses in Bicester remain open and are operating as takeaway or delivery services instead.
Some of them include Bicester Bean Coffee Shop and Cafe, Peter Goss Butchers and Bright Laundrettes.
It comes after Boris Johnson ordered all restaurants and shops selling ‘non-essential’ items to close, but those that can operate safely as takeaway can continue.
