The ‘utter stupidity’ of drivers going the wrong way on a slip road to avoid a crash on the A420 has been condemned by police.
A single-car crash closed one lane eastbound approaching Oxford this morning while the vehicle was recovered.

No one was injured and the route has now fully reopened.
Thames Valley Police posted a video of cars going the wrong way down a slip road to avoid the crash.
In the tweet, it said: “On route to the collision on the A420 we were faced with at least 10 cars who had turned and travelled the WRONG WAY down the slip road!!
“This is utter stupidity and incredibly dangerous! Please think about your actions!”
