TOP darts players are lined up to give Witney some razzmatazz on Friday, when the town switches on its Christmas lights.
The event will include a band and children's entertainment.
Witney MP and Tory leader David Cameron will be joined on stage in the Market Square for the ceremonial switching on at 6.30pm of the Christmas lights by darts legends John Lowe, Eric Bristow, Keith Deller and Cliff Lazarenko.
The indoor sporting quartet are also in town the same evening for a cancer charity fundraising event at the Langdale Hall, including a challenge with town mayor Chrissie Curry.
They are entering into the spirit of the occasion, however, by also taking part in the Christmas parade along the High Street to Market Square, starting 6pm, astride motorcycles.
Pride of place, though, will go to Our Lady of Lourdes primary schoolgirl Ellen Murphy, ten, as this year's Witney Winter Princess. The master of ceremonies will be Peter Rhoades-Brown, of Oxford United.
The evening, though, kicks off with music from the Dirty Earth Band, who were hugely popular last year, playing music live on stage from 5pm.
Mayor Ms Currie says it aims to be one of the best Christmas Lights evenings for the town, with Santa arriving by reindeer, a Witney Rotary Club pig roast, fairground rides, carol singers and a Christmas Fayre including charity stalls and display by the Witney Model and Collectors Club in and just outside the Corn Exchange.
She added: "It's the one to be at this year."
Tickets for the charity darts event at the Langdale Hall are available from The Three Pigeons pub at Wood Green, Witney.
