The weapon was described in court as a 'Rambo knife.'
He denied one count of possession of criminal property - cash - and prosecutors said those pleas were acceptable and a trial would 'not be in the public interest.'
It was also revealed that there were further matters he was due to face, of which his defence barrister said his client would be also be pleading to.
After the pleas had been entered presiding Judge Ian Pringle QC agreed to adjourn the case for sentencing so that all of the matters can be dealt with at the same time.
The next hearing of the case will take place on June 26.
