A 13-year-old boy has been killed tonight after a road crash outside a fast food restaurant.
The teenager died after a collision with a grey Fiat Punto car outside McDonald's in Ducklington Lane, Witney, at about 8pm.
Emergency services were called but the boy was pronounced dead at the scene, an ambulance spokesman said.
Another boy was also involved in the collision but reportedly only suffered minor injuries.
It is believed both boys were pedestrians.
A 17-year-old youth has been arrested on suspicion of careless driving, a police spokesman said.
Ducklington Lane has been closed both ways between the A4095 Tower Hill junction and the A40 junction in Witney. A diversion is in operation.
Police are at the scene and carrying out investigations.
A police spokesman said relatives had been informed.
