A POPULAR West Oxfordshire takeaway has delivered over 1,500 meals to people in need during the lockdown.
However, it is not stopping there, as the team at Eastern Cuisine pledges to support 20 key workers a day in Witney.
Asad Ahmed, who runs the Burwell Drive restaurant, said: "Every week we are getting more and more people reaching out for help, and we are doing our utmost best to help as many people as possible.
"The team at Eastern Cuisine have been working tirelessly to keep to our pledge that no one goes to sleep on an empty stomach.
"We have been serving over 400 meals per week and making donations to local foodbanks."

Mr Ahmed said he has seen and heard 'many heartbreaking stories' over the last few weeks and thanked everyone who has donated to the takeaway's GoFundMe page.
He also thanked paying customers who have 'supported us by ordering paid meals, and helped us thrive as a business in these challenging circumstances'.
The takeaway has been providing meals to staff at Witney Community Hospital, and anyone in the community who needs help.
The public can sponsor meals for the vulnerable and those in need, with £5 able to fund a meal.
Upon publication, the Eastern Cuisine team had raised almost £5,000 to help fund the services it is running.
