A DANGEROUS driver who sped into oncoming traffic on Oxford’s ring road has been given his final date for sentencing.
Andrew Cribbes had already admitted one count of theft, one of dangerous driving and further counts of driving without insurance and without a licence.
The 45-year-old of Luther Street, Oxford, appeared via videolink from HMP Bullingdon at Oxford Crown Court today.
At an earlier hearing it was revealed that Cribbes was involved in the incident of dangerous driving on March 1 this year.

Police officers had been responding to the theft of a water compressor at Westbury Crescent, Oxford, when they saw Cribbes, who was driving, at the Heyford Hill Roundabout.
He sped off before driving dangerously and into oncoming traffic.
Eventually he smashed into a BMW, which caused injury to an occupant, before he got out and fled on foot, where he was caught and arrested.
He was set to be sentenced for the offences today but the case was adjourned so that further medical investigations can be carried out on the injured man.
Peter Du Feu, defending, said at the hearing that his client ‘wants to know his fate’ but that he understood the likely sentence would be one of custody.
Presiding Judge Maria Lamb agreed to adjourn the case so that the medical information could be obtained.
The final sentencing hearing will take place on June 23 at the same court and Cribbes was remanded in custody in the meantime.
