A 91-year-old former architect has used his lockdown to create an incredible scale model of Oxford's Queen Street in the 1960s out of cardboard.

In 1961, Brian Cullum was a student at Oxford Architects Partnership, where one of the senior partners drew the facades of the buildings in Queen Street.

Nearly 60 years later, after rediscovering the drawing and stuck in lockdown, Mr Cullum, now 91, used the drawing to create this spectacular scale model of the street from half a century ago.

Oxford Mail:

Mr Cullum actually took the drawing, by Dennis Page, with him when he emigrated to Australia for 43 years, and it found its way with him when he moved back to England in 2008.

Now living in Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire, he said: “A year ago I found Dennis’ drawing again and made the model from it, using thick card and my memories.

"Perhaps you could find space in your illustrious newspaper to show your nostalgic readers."

Brian, we'd be delighted.
