FIREFIGHTERS raced to a smokey house in Oxford after a pan had burst into flames.
It had been left on the hob unattended and was full of oil.
Crews from Slade Road fire station and Rewley Road went to the house on Saturday ready to hose down some flames, but when they arrived it was full of smoke.

The occupants had already left the building so the team was able to put out the fire quickly using a 'specialist fan'.
Taking to Facebook to show the damage, Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue service said: "To keep safe in your home never leave cooking unattended and ensure you have a working, and tested smoke alarms fitted."
