A NIFTY new shopping app tells customers the best time to visit their local supermarket and what products it has in stock in real time.
Supermarket Check-In was created by web-developer Paul Hulatt who was put on furlough from his job back in March.
The free application ranks major chains like Tesco, Sainsbury's, Asda and Morrisons by length of queue and stock availability, and aims to make grocery shopping easier during the coronavirus pandemic.

Social distancing means shoppers now need to queue two metres apart outside stores sometimes for hours, but using data supplied by its users the app advises if it is worth travelling to buy essentials.
My new app! Supermarket Check-In is a social app which allows people to check their local supermarket queue and stock level information, submitted by other users of the app, and then "check-in" themselves after they shop to share their own experience.https://t.co/TRqQBHbWPx pic.twitter.com/d9u8UVNCCI
