OXFORD MAGISTRATES’

MICHAEL DAVID CHITTOCK, 37, of Ashcombe Cresent, Witney, admitted assault by beating a woman on June 25 in Abingdon. He was made subject to a community order and must have 25 days of rehabilitation activities. He must also pay a victim surcharge of £85 as well as £125 in court costs. As part of a restraining order he must also not contact the woman until January 29, 2022.

JAMIE GODDARD, 27, of no fixed abode, admitted stealing £70.24 worth of legs of lamb from Sainsbury’s in Oxfordshire on January 15 as well as £69 worth of meat from Sainsbury’s in Oxford on January 27. He was sent to prison for four weeks because ‘the offence is so serious and he has a previous record and recalled on licence’. He must also pay back £139.24 of compensation.

PETER QUINN, 26, of Caldecott Road, Abingdon , admitted breaching supervision requirements imposed following a release from prison by not going to appointments on December 3 and 31 last year. He was sent to prison for 14 days because ‘the offence was so serious and was aggravated by the defendants previous criminal record’.

LASZLO SZABO, 41, of Tyrrells Close, Harwell, was convicted of assault by beating a woman on March 13, 2019 in Didcot. He was made subject to a community order and must have 20 days of rehabilitation activity. He must also pay a victim surcharge of £84 as well as £250 in court cost.

ZAINE RICHARD ALFRED WILLIAMS, 27, of Beaumont Road, Oxford, admitted possession of cannabis, a class B drug, in Oxford on November 11. He was fined £80 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £32 as well as £85 in court costs. The cannabis must also be forfeited to be destroyed.

JESSICA SIAN DILLON, 39, of Goldfinch Close, Bicester, dishonestly failed to promptly tell the Department for Work and Pensions about paid employment that would affect her entitlement to carers allowance. She was made subject to a community order and must have an electronic tag for eight weeks. She must also pay a victim surcharge of £85 a month as well as £600 in court costs.

KENNETH MARTIN SALLIS, 36, of Borrowmead Road, Headington, was convicted of failing to comply with the requirements of a community imposed by Oxford Magistrates Court on January 22 by failing to attend an RAR appointment on August 27 and failing to attend an unpaid work appointment on October 22. He was sentenced for the original offence of using threatening, abusive and insulting words to two people at Reading Station on March 21, 2018. Now he must attend appointments for 15 days and pay court costs of £100.

YUSIF AHMED, 25, of Gladstone Court, Oxford, admitted drink-driving on October 19 on Park End Street in Oxford. He had 128mcg of alcohol per 100ml of urine, above the legal limit of 107mcg. He was fined £120 and must pay a victim surcahrge of £32 as well as £85 in court costs. He was also disqualified from driving for 12 months.

JACOB JOHN ARCHER, 22, of Keble Road, Bicester, admitted drug-driving on August 26 on Shipton on Cherwell. He had 15mcg of cannabis per litre of blood, above the legal limit of 2mcg. He was fined £246 and was ordered to pay a victim surcharge fee of £32 as well as £85 in court costs. He was also disqualified from 12 months.

SARAH DAWN COTTERELL, 40, of Newham Manor Mobile Home Site, Wallingford, admitted stealing alcohol from Waitrose in Wallingford on October 16 and alcohol costing £236.68 from Waitrose in Wallingford on October 15. In total she was fined £160 and must pay £85 in court costs and a £32 victim surcharge fee.

HARRY THOMPSON, 22, of Marshall Road, Banbury, admitted drug driving with 130 mg of Benzoylecgonine per litre of blood on August 11 in Yarnton. He was fined £400 and must pay a victim surcharge of £85 and he was disqualified from driving for 12 months.

TATIANA FILIMON, 58, of Park End Street, Oxford, admitted harassment by breaching a restraining order and attending a prohibited address in Eynsham between December 16 and 29. She was given a conditional discharge for 12 months and must pay a victim surcharge of £21 and court cost of £85.

BENJAMIN DUAH, 31, of Spey Road, Abingdon, was convicted of failing to provide a specimen for analysis at Abingdon police station on September 26. He was jailed for 12 weeks suspended for 12 months and must complete 15 rehabilitation activity requirement days. He must also pay a £122 victim surcharge and court costs of £300 and he was disqualified from driving for three years.

Janusz LACH, 52, of Oakley Wood Farm, Benson, admitted drink driving on November 12 in Crowmarsh Gifford. Had 56 mcg of alcohol in 100 ml of breath. Also admitted driving while disqualified and driving without third party insurance and committing an offence while subject to a community order. He was jailed for a total of 14 weeks and must pay a victim surcharge of £122 and court costs of £200 and he was disqualified from driving for five years.

HODAN JAMA, 21, of Asquith Road, Oxford, admitted assaulting a man in Primark, Oxford, on January 15. She was made subject to a community order to include 120 hours of unpaid work and she must pay compensation of £75, a victim surcharge of £90 and court costs of £85.

TERRY NEIL WAKELING, 40, of Bonar Road, Oxford, admited failing to comply with the supervision requirements imposed following release from prison by failing to engage with a responsible officer, failing to attend appointments and failing to provide evidence of reasonable excuse. He was jailed for 14 days.

AUSTIN RICHARD O'CONNOR, 45, of Sheldons Piece, Watlington, was convicted of driving while using a hand-held mobile phone on June 5 in Wheatley. He was fined £300 and must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and court cost of £85 and his driving licence was endorsed with six penalty points.

KIRSTY PLUMB, 39, of The Bourne, Hook Norton, was convicted of failing to give information relating to the identity of a driver between July 15 and August 12 in Banbury. She was fined £660 and must pay a victim surcharge of £66 and court costs of £85 and her driving licence was endorsed with six penalty points.

ERIN HYKA, 18, of The Willows, Headington, admitted one count of assaulting an emergency worker, a police officer, acting in the exercise of his functions as an officer, on January 18 in The Willows, Headington, Oxford. She was given a conditional discharge for nine months and must pay compensation of £100 as well as £85 court costs.
