Police previously said in relation to the incident that they were called to reports of an altercation at about 10.30pm and arrived to find two men with stab wounds.
They were both taken to hospital but were later discharged.
After the guilty pleas were entered at court presiding Judge Maria Lamb asked for a report to be prepared ahead of sentencing.
That report will consider the issue of his 'dangerousness' and the final sentencing hearing will be held on June 2.
