DO you have an old laptop that could be put to better use?
A charity that supports children with parents in prison has made a desperate plea for old laptops so it can continue its vital work.
Usually Children Heard and Seen runs weekly support groups in Oxford at its base, as well as Milton Keynes and Birmingham.
At the sessions youngsters sometimes make things to send to their parents who they can't see every day and other times they can just chat about their worries in a safe space.
Meet the woman who started the charity from her kitchen table...
But the team, like most businesses, have now had to adapt to a virtual way of doing things – cutting off 26 families who might have otherwise joined but don't have a computer.
Last week 23 families joined in the virtual session over Zoom, a video chat room, but the charity say more than 20 have been left out because they don't have the means.
Appealing for help via Twitter, the group shared a photo of the no-contact door collections they are doing around Oxfordshire and Berkshire.
Laptops will also be wiped and returned to factory settings before they are divvied out.
