THE COUNTRY'S longest running independent music festival has been postponed amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Organisers announced that the 56th four-day Towersey Festival that was due to be held on the August Bank Holiday weekend will now take place in 2021 with all tickets being automatically transferred to next year.

They said on Thursday "Sadly, the time has come to make the call and make the right decision for all of us – we know the festival is many weeks away but the recent word from the government is that we could be in lockdown for some time."
