PURVEYORS of upmarket comestibles, Marks & Spencer has vowed to keep open its standalone food stores, service station shops and foodhalls in larger stores – even if the rest of their shops are closed.
In Oxfordshire, that includes the foodhalls in their Oxford city centre and Marriott’s Close, Witney, stores; Summertown and Cowley Road Simply Food stores; shops at the John Radcliffe and Churchill hospitals; and at BP service stations in Woodstock Road in Oxford, Bicester Family Farm and Milton Heights in Didcot.
The branch at Oxford Railway Station is closed.
To help keep customers and colleagues stay well, the company has implemented additional social distancing measures.
It has also reserved the first hour of trading on certain days for older and vulnerable customers, and for NHS and emergency workers.
