Police will be out in force to help Oxford residents avoid becoming victims of burglars.
Neighbourhood officers and the crime reduction team will be at the old Rover garage forecourt in Summertown on Saturday from 10am until 4pm.
Homeowners will be given tips on how to protect their homes from burglars during the weeks leading up to Christmas.
Drivers will also be advised on how to avoid having valuables stolen from their cars, in particular Sat Navs, and cyclists can have their bikes security marked for free.
Officers will also be surveying local residents on what their priorities are for policing in the area ahead of the new Summertown Neighbourhood Action Group going live.
Sgt Karl Ralph said: "These sorts of events are at the heart of local policing.
"It is a great chance for us to interact with local people and for them to tell us what they think about how their neighbourhood is policed."
