POLICE are running a special event in North Oxford aimed at showing people how to beat burglars.
On Saturday, officers will be at the old Phoenix Rover garage forecourt, in Banbury Road, from 10am until 4pm.
Drivers will be advised on how to avoid having valuables stolen from their cars, in particular satellite navigation systems, and cyclists can have their cycles security marked free.
Ahead of the Summertown Neighbourhood Action Group going live, officers will also be surveying local residents on what their priorities are for policing in the area.
Sgt Karl Ralph, who leads the local team, said: "These sorts of events are at the heart of local policing.
"It is a great chance for us to interact with local people and for them to tell us what they think about how their neighbourhood is policed."
