Designer outlet Bicester Village has now closed after the government announced last night that all non-essential shops must shut.
A statement on its website says: "In order to ensure the health and safety of our guests, brand staff, and Bicester Village staff, and in conformity with the UK Government requirements, Bicester Village will be temporarily closed from Tuesday 24 March until further notice.

"Please accept out sincerest apologies for any inconvenience caused by this temporary closure."
The outlet went quiet on social media last week, despite people questioning whether it was still open.

Staff have expressed their disappointment at the 'poor' way in which owners Value Retail have dealt with the coronavirus situation.
