THE UK has been advised against non-essential contact, so what does this mean for Mother's Day?

Self-isolation could mean many will not be able to visit their mum this Sunday, so here are five ideas to make your mum still feel special.

1-      A delivery company Hamper.com has made it a little easier to celebrate. The gift company have made Sunday deliveries possible so you can now send your mum a hamper full of sweet treats, tea and snack to arrive on Mother's Day.

Hamper.com will be donating five per cent of sales from all Mother's Day hampers this week to charities that help the homeless and those struggling to afford food, including Didcot Emergency Food Bank and The Oxford Food Bank.

2-      You can still be together on Sunday although physically apart with a 'Netflix Party' movie day.

With a 'Netflix Party' you can watch the same film simultaneously in your own homes, this is made possible with a Chrome extension which enables multiple people to watch the same thing.

3-      Treat your mum to a spa, create a home-spa and send your mum some papering treatments. You can chat between facemasks and bubble baths.

4-      Enjoy dinner from a far by ordering from both of your favourite places. Alternatively, video chat while you prepare a delicious meal.
