A MAN was stabbed in the leg in Cowley in the early hours of this morning.
Police were called to Lawrence Road at about 12.40am, following a report that a man had been stabbed.
Officers discovered a man in his 40s with a 'laceration' to his leg, a police spokesperson said.
The road is residential and one woman who lives there, who asked not to be named, told the Oxford Mail she said 'at least half a dozen police cars and a couple of ambulances'.
She said three police cars were still on scene at 2.30am, blocking the street near the junction with Havelock Road.
The man who was injured was taken to hospital for treatment, but has since been discharged.
A 19-year-old man from Oxford has been arrested in connection with the incident, police said.
He remained in police custody this afternoon.
