THE charity Cats Protection has received a cheque from Rotary club members after taking part in an annual beer festival.
The donation of £50 to Cherwell Cats Protection, which was accepted by Jan Voak, of Bicester, was presented to the charity by the president of the Banbury Cherwell Rotary Club.
The charity had taken part in the annual Beer Festival organised by the Banbury Cherwell Rotary Club, in August, where it ran a stall and tombola to raise branch funds.
The national cat charity, which covers Bicester, Banbury and Brackley, is an entirely self-supporting and was thrilled with the donation from Bob Campbell.
Ms Voak, who has been an active member of the Bicester branch since it was formed in June last year, said: "The donation came as a great surprise."
