A SCHOOL in Oxford has closed for three year groups today due to the 'large number' of staff self-isolating.

A notice on St Gregory the Great Catholic School's website states 'currently there are no confirmed cases of COVID-19 amongst the school staff or student body'.

But it added: "However, due to the changes in national guidance and with a large number of staff self-isolating, we have made the decision to close the school to KS3 (Years 7, 8 and 9) until we advise otherwise.

"You will receive further information regarding work set in due course."

It comes after Prime Minister Boris Johnson, in a press conference yesterday afternoon, said the Government was now advising entire households to self-isolate for 14 days if any one member displays symptoms of coronavirus.
