A POPULAR restaurant will be introducing 'highly unusual changes' to combat the risk of coronavirus.
Japanese restaurant Edamame in Holywell Street has ordered forehead digital thermometers and will be taking temperature checks from visitors.
Anyone who has a high temperature or displays symptoms of a cold, or has a persistent cough, will then be politely asked to leave.
In such cases, food can be arranged for takeout.

Peter Galpin, who has owned the restaurant for over 20 years, said: "Staff asked permission to wear the masks and thin clear gloves as the restaurant is very small and they're working in a confined area that is often busy with guests.
"Most of our customers think it's a great idea, and people may potentially want to visit us as we're doing something about it.
"I wanted to show some level of assurance to the public and also do what I can for my staff."
