Communities across the county are banding together to help those in need during the coronavirus pandemic.

Here are the places to go if you need help:

Didcot - Great Western Park Residents' Association

To practically help those that are “at risk” from Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) due to age or underlying conditions, we have set up a Community Support Group for Great Western Park residents, run by GWP residents. Volunteers will help distribute food and supplies to those in COVID19 self isolation and need our support.

This is achieved in the form of a register and dedicated WhatsApp group. If you wish to join the group of 30+ wonderful volunteers, then please email: chairperson@gwpra.org.uk with your name and mobile phone number.

Oxford Covid-19 Mutual Aid group

Everyone is welcome to join this group, which is organising help and support (such as dog walking and food deliveries) to the vulnerable and elderly

Bicester - Coronavirus Helpers

Looking for volunteers who can help support the elderly and vulnerable in Bicester and surrounding areas

Blewbury - Good Neighbours

Run by the post master, looking for volunteers who can help. Those who need assistance can call the Post Office. If you want to be involved, call the Post Office on 01235 851777.

Age UK Oxfordshire

A special helpline has been set up for older people in Oxfordshire to offer advice and assistance. Call 01865 411 288, leave your name and number and you will get a call back as soon as possible.

Assistance includes a 'friendly weekly call to see how you are, and to problem-solve if you are facing practical problems'.
