We've been a lot of shoppers clearing the shelves this month.
But in 2009 customers were doing it for a different reason, as Woolworths prepared to close its doors.
Oxford Mail photographer Damian Halliwell captured this shot on Tuesday, January 6, that year, as Cowley residents ransacked the last bargains from the old Templars Square store.
The sale was so thorough that by this point the company was even flogging off its shop fittings and anything else it could sell.
Similar scenes can be seen this month at Boswells, Oxford.
Woolworths closed the last of its shops on January 27, 2009, exactly 100 years after it was founded in Liverpool in 1909.
