GP SURGERIES urging patients not to come in and to phone first due to the latest Coronavirus advice from the department of health.
An Oxford Mail reader received the following message from the Eynsham and Hanborough surgeries informing them to not come in for their appointments.
Today many patients across the county would have seen this message on the homepage of their local GP surgery website.
Jessica Harris is one of the partners at Eynsham Medical Group. She said: "We have had advice from the department of health advising that it would be better to do something called a telephone triage."
Ms Harris explained that telephone triage is essentially a telephone or video appointment.

These remote appointments will prevent too many people from coming into the surgery and it will help prevent the spread of Coronavirus and allow for the capacity to still see patients.
Although the GP surgery is asking people to call first and to not turn up for their appointments, Ms Harris added: "We still have the ability for people to come in."
