A POLICE officer has been accused of encouraging a victim not to make a statement about an assault.
Detective Constable Philip Baines, based at Bletchley, will face the heads of Thames Valley Police on Monday at the force's HQ in Kidlington.
Another police officer was accused of making a fake report of robbery
At the hearing a legally qualified person will hear details about the incident on September 5 where it is alleged that Mr Baines persuaded somebody not to make a formal statement after they were allegedly assaulted by their family member.
If it is true then he would have breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour expected of him and a dismissal would be 'justified'.
