A CRASH between a car and a pushbike blocked a major road in Oxford in both directions earlier this morning.
The major incident happened on the corner of Abingdon Road and Vicarage Road where paramedics assessed and treated one patient who was then taken to John Radcliffe Hospital.

Lengthy queues of stranded vehicles had formed all the way to the A423 Southern Bypass and the A34 Hinksey Hill Roundabout, however, Mr Goas said that traffic is all clear now.
Stagecoach posted on Twitter at 9.21am to notify travellers of plans to reroute 16 services due to the incident.

16 services will be unable to serve Abingdon Road and Donnington Bridge at this time.
S8 services will be unable to serve Abingdon Road.

Another eyewitness Jason Morgan explained that police officers were directing vehicles back into Oxford.
