FIREFIGHTERS from three crews attended an unusual incident at Wallingford yesterday.
They were alerted to a smell of burning in Barclays Bank at Market Place and power issues in the surrounding shops.
Armed with breathing apparatus the crews from Didcot and Henley used gas monitoring equipment to determine there was no fire.

They inspected which properties in the area were affected by the burning odour and ensure the properties are safe.
A number of businesses in the Market Place had already shut when the incident occurred and staff were moved out of Barclays Bank and Costa coffee for a short period.
Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks are working to fix the issue and restore power where lost.
