A POLICE officer who allegedly made a fake report of robbery to another police force and then claimed on his insurance will now face a misconduct hearing later in the year.
Inspector Iain Kane has also been accused of lying about the amount of money owed to him from a police station tuck shop.

He was due to face the heads of Thames Valley Police at a misconduct hearing in Kidlington last week, but that was halted on the second day because of 'unforeseen circumstances' and has been adjourned until July.
