Two teenagers have appeared in court accused of starting a blaze at an Oxford house with a firework.
Jamie Matthews, 18, of Manor Farm Road, Oxford, and a 17-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Oxford Magistrates' Court today accused of arson with intent to endanger life.
They were arrested in connection with a fire at Ramsay Road in Headington on Halloween - October 31 - which made a family of four homeless.
An investigation by firefighters revealed the blaze had been caused by a firework.
Both were granted conditional bail to appear at Oxford Crown Court on November 19.
