It was a kick-off of a different sort for Oxford United goalkeeper Jim Barron.
He was asked to perform the opening ceremony of a new discotheque at Minchery Farm, Oxford, in 1969.
He is pictured with Rajia Nachat, 19, who was in charge of the record player, making sure there was continuous music for the young people to dance
