The slip road is just outside the Mini plant.
A driver who passed the scene at 3pm said she saw two fire engines blocking the road, two marked police cars and at least one unmarked police car, as well as an ambulance.
At least two cars and a van were seen next to the emergency vehicles.
She said she could not see if there had been a collision but it was clear there had been an emergency response, as the crews all had their blue lights flashing.
